FAQ

Questions about
Digital Employees and AI workshops.

Answers to the questions buyers usually ask before hiring Standin: what it costs, what a Digital Employee does, how workshops work, how access is handled, and how humans stay accountable when AI is part of the delivery model. If something is missing, email Standin directly.

What does an AI Digital Employee cost? The AI Digital Employee is $7,000/month. Standin installs and manages it for your business. Most clients start with the Executive Skill Pack: inbox, calendar, follow-up, briefings, reporting, and coordination. From there, the Digital Employee can expand into approved sales, operations, support, research, CRM, reporting, and cross-system workflows.
What does a Live AI Workshop cost? The virtual Live AI Workshop is $5,000 for 4 hours. The in-person workshop is $10,000 for 6 hours. Both are standalone products for companies that want employees to use AI safely and practically at work.
Who creates the workshop curriculum?Standin creates and leads the curriculum. The examples are customized around the company, the roles in the room, and the AI use cases leadership wants employees to adopt.
How does Standin use Digital Employees internally?Standin uses Digital Employees for onboarding, follow-up, request tracking, research, drafting, and admin. A human operator still owns the client relationship and final decisions. We are transparent about that model because it is also how we keep the service focused and sustainable.
Do clients share passwords with Standin? No. Access is handled through secure OAuth links whenever possible. The client authorizes the connection directly, and Standin works inside the approved access boundaries.

What kind of business is a good fit for Standin?Standin is best for established businesses with recurring admin, follow-up, scheduling, reporting, or employee training problems. Real estate teams, local service businesses, professional services firms, insurance agencies, and owner-led companies are common fits. The industry matters less than the bottleneck.
What does an AI Digital Employee do first? Most deployments start with the Executive Skill Pack: inbox triage, follow-up drafts, calendar visibility, meeting prep, daily or weekly briefings, reporting, and open-loop tracking. That first package is meant to create value quickly. More workflows can be added after the Digital Employee is useful and trusted.
Can a Digital Employee do more than executive admin work?Yes. The Executive Skill Pack is only the starting point. A Digital Employee can expand into sales follow-up, customer operations, CRM updates, vendor research, recruiting support, finance admin, SOP drafting, marketing coordination, support triage, reporting, and tool-to-tool workflow management. Standin adds those capabilities based on client priorities, approved system access, and review guardrails.
Is this a software subscription? No. Standin is a managed service. Clients are not buying a login to another tool. Standin installs the Digital Employee, connects approved systems, manages the request board, monitors the work, and improves the workflows over time.
Can a Digital Employee send messages or take actions on its own?Sensitive actions start approval-first. A Digital Employee can draft, summarize, organize, and prepare work. The client decides which actions require approval and which actions can be automated later.
What happens during the Live AI Workshop?Employees learn what AI can do, what it should not be used for, how to prompt with context, how to review output, and how to apply AI to their daily work. The workshop includes hands-on exercises and a practical AI policy starter.
Is the workshop only for technical teams? No. The workshop is designed for employees across leadership, sales, operations, admin, customer service, finance, HR, and marketing. The point is practical usage, not technical theory.
Can a workshop lead into a Digital Employee later?Yes. Many workshop use cases become candidates for a future Digital Employee. The workshop helps the company see where AI can help, which workflows are worth systematizing, and where guardrails are needed.
Who owns the work product?Clients own their business data, documents, prompts specific to their business, workshop materials created for their team, and outputs created for them. Standin owns its operating model, reusable frameworks, internal systems, and Digital Employee infrastructure.
Do you guarantee a specific ROI?No. Standin does not promise a specific revenue number. We commit to building and managing useful workflows, being clear about what is working, and changing the approach when the current workflow is not producing enough value.
Why is Standin transparent about using Digital Employees?Because it would be strange not to be. Digital Employees are part of the Standin operating model. They help with repeatable work, while a human operator stays accountable for the relationship, judgment calls, and quality.
